The speech of the wannabe VP insulted community organizers everywhere. Who are these people?

They help organize neighborhood watches with local authorities to help stop crime. They help raise funds for the creation of youth centers. They help initiate job-training programs to get people back to work. They also help organize voter-registration drives (OOPS!!). I’m sure there were community organizers who helped post 9/11 and Katrina.

These people typically work long hours, for little or no pay. Palin and the entire GOP laughed at these people on National TV (hmmm who’s the elitist now?). Do we want a VP that only thinks the way you can serve your country is in the military? I can’t wait to see how the Repugs try to spin this one. Palin just gave the Dems a gift that will keep on giving. (THANKS)

I recently did a post on the whole Fat Joe/Daddy Yankee/John McCain thing and honestly as insane as it sounds, I think it’s Daddy Yankee’s right to endorse whoever he wants and I don’t think anyone should be critical of it the way Fat Joe is. Some may say Daddy Yankee has a strong Latino fan base who he owes it to to not back someone like McCain but he Daddy Yankee’s vote is his own and I think Fat Joe should keep his comments to himself and just make sure he and everyone he knows votes on election day.

Obama, of course, would smile a dazzling smile and the tiger would stop in its tracks and slink off slightly ashamed.

I was born and raised in Hackney, and have travelled around England to a few of our big cities. Hackney gets a bad rap!! It is bad everywhere now, not specifically in Hackney!
I have no fear leaving my home at whatever time of night, if someone is new to the area, I understand they will feel fear as they would have got all the horror stories before moving here.
Everywhere is bad, not just hackney, not all the youts are bad, many have good honest dreams and morals, they are just pushed togethr in the same boat.
Hackney needs to invest in its youth more, when I was young, I attended adventure playgrounds, youth clubs, many things that kept me off the streets, none of these things exist anymore.

I don’t think so that the PML (N)providing the basic rights for Gilgit Baltistan. It is only drama of the Pakistani rulers. PML (N) have no authority to decide the future of Gilgit Baltistan. Because Gilgit Baltistan is a dispute area. it will be dice only the willing of Gilgit Baltistan’s people.

Muslims Against Sharia vigorously object to characterization of ‘Muslims who want to live under Islamic law [need] to “get out of the country”‘ sentiment as anti-Muslim. There are many Muslims in America who left Islamic countries for a single reason: to escape the yoke of Sharia. We fully support the sentiment that if someone wants to live under Sharia, they should immediately leave the United States. On the one hand, there are plenty of countries in the world that are ruled by Sharia law; so Sharia proponents can be free to practice according to their beliefs. On the other hand, Sharia is incompatible with Democracy and installation of Sharia in the United States will result in denying freedoms for the vast majority of the population, including Muslims.
